When considering desk chairs for home or office, think about the role ergonomics plays in daily life and productivity. The term ergonomics refers to the arrangement of the environment where individuals are concerned. It comes from the Greek words ergos (work) and nomos (natural laws of). When applied to office work, it is the relationship between visual and musculoskeletal comfort and/or fatigue to the structure and quality of a chair and work station. The study of ergonomics is focused on the idea that an environment will be designed to fit the worker to stimulate mental and physical efficiency and productivity, rather than fitting the worker into an existing structure. An office desk should be part of an overall work environment that allows you to maximize your efficiency. So ask yourself how you like to get your work done. Do you like a large space where you can spread all your work out and look at the big picture, as if it were a puzzle? Or are you the type of person who likes to take it one piece at a time and use a smaller work area for focus?
Whichever type of person you are, this will help you choose the right desk. Whether you want a big workspace and need a big desk, or you like smaller desks to free up more space for other furniture in the office, there is something for everyone. Try a place like BizChair.com and peruse all the different options that are available for offices and home offices alike. Once you get the desk choice nailed down, the rest of the office furniture plan starts to come together around it.

When laying out your office’s conference rooms with chairs, conference tables, and other necessary furniture, a measure of flexibility can go a long way. Depending on your type of business, you could have many different uses for a conference room. You may need more than just a big table with several leather office chairs around it.
This is where that flexibility comes into play. If people need to split up into groups, conference room tables that separate allow these groups to get together and accomplish their tasks. Then, putting the smaller tables back together and forming one larger table allows the groups to come together and discuss what each one has come up with.

Adjustable height options are a good thing to think about, too. This allows you to accommodate people with disabilities or medical conditions that might need to be addressed. It can also be useful in accommodating certain types of additional equipment needed for presentations or work related to your business realm.
More adjustable options and mobility can help with all of these concerns and make your conference room an area that promotes more effective and efficient work.

In the competitive catering industry, gaining advantages over competition is vital to success. Being able to supply the folding chairs and folding tables for a client event might make a huge difference. All it takes is one up-front investment and appropriate transportation for the folding tables and chairs.
This does not necessarily require a large investment. Simple and inexpensive plastic folding chairs are extremely effective. Consumers crave convenience, something caterers with the ability to supply the furniture can offer.
Quality plastic folding chairs or stack chairs will last for years. Make sure to buy plastic folding chairs that support high weight for maximum durability. Caterers should consider folding tables as well; of course, plates, silverware, and centerpieces are optional.
When ordering folding chairs and folding tables, make sure to order a dolly at the same time. Mobility and storage are of chief importance when dealing with portable furniture.

After you have occupancy of your restaurant space, it’s time to choose your restaurant furniture. The style of furniture you choose will depend on the size and shape of your restaurant, the restaurant ambiance and decor, and your budget.
Waiting Area or Host Area Furniture
Depending on the type of restaurant–casual style dining, pub, or fine dining– you will need waiting area or host area furniture. This type of furniture includes lounge seating, sofas, chaise lounges, and/or wood benches for the comfort of your waiting area guests. Additionally, you can add coffee tables or end tables for guest comfort, but it is not necessary for restaurateurs with tight budgets.

On August 8, 2010, BizChair.com celebrated its 9th Anniversary!
BizChair.com continues to grow, succeed, and expand in 2010.
It’s hard to believe that in 2001, a 14-year old Sean Belnick locked himself in his room for three days to design the e-commerce website BizChair.com with only a $500 investment. Of course, he had the sage advice of his stepfather Gary Glazer, a veteran in the office furniture business, to help him along the way as he ran the company out of his bedroom. In 2004, they moved the company’s operations to a 40,000 square foot building and by 2006 the company had a 100,000 square foot warehouse space. In 2007, BizChair.com took over occupancy of a 327,000 square foot facility in Canton, Georgia.
BizChair.com’s CEO Sean Belnick and President Gary Glazer have recently announced that BizChair.com will be expanding again. Their office furniture and office chair business has increased so much in the past years that the company has outgrown its current 327,000 square foot warehouse space. In order to accommodate growth, the company will add an extra 149,000 square foot expansion onto its current warehouse structure. This $5 million project is expected to begin within the next four to six weeks and be completed within six months time. BizChair.com has also acquired an additional 98,000 square feet of warehouse space at another location which the company intends to keep after the completion of the renovations and expansions to the current facility, giving the company a total of 574,000 square feet of warehouse capacity.
The increased warehouse space will allow BizChair.com to keep products in stock and continue to quick ship items directly to customers. It will also provide an additional facility for the company’s latest ventures into selling restaurant, church, and banquet furniture.
Nine years later and BizChair.com is a thriving leader in the online-only retail office furniture and office chair business! Even with the current economic conditions, BizChair.com has noted a 35 percent increase in sales over last year which leads to the need for additional warehouse space.
Happy 9th Anniversary, BizChair.com!

Are you racking your brain trying to figure out what to give your dad for Father’s Day this Sunday, June 20th? If you are tired of giving him the same old typical gifts — ties, socks, underwear, BBQ or grill accessories, tools, and/or DVD’s — you are not alone! After years of giving dad these gifts, the celebration of dad was becoming lackluster and his participation as a gift recipient was starting to lack enthusiasm. With this in mind, we set out to provide you with a list of 10 additional “dad” type gifts with the hope of getting your creative gift giving juices flowing again.
10 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas
- Sports or Collegiate Memorabilia
- Game Table
- Hammock
- Media Storage
- Garage Storage
- TV Stand
- Safe
- Gaming Chair
- Recliner
- Office Chair
Why would it be awesome for my dad?
1. Sports or Collegiate Memorabilia – Given that most fathers like sports, this should be an easy pick to affirm your father’s love for you and his team. There are so many available gift options beyond your typical shirts, ties, and bumper stickers. Did you know that companies offer themed recliners, pool tables & accessories, bar stools, pub tables, popcorn machines, clocks, pub lights, dart boards, stained glass pool table lights or swag lights, 3-shade pool table lights, fans, replica gas pump display cases, and shuffleboards among other items? Those are a lot of cool sports fan and unique collegiate gift ideas! You can start dad in the right direction or add to his current collection or game room with anything from a sports accessory to a recliner! Back to 10 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas List

2. Game table – What better way to bring the family together than for a game night on dad’s new game table? Most of these tables now pull double duty as both a proper dining room table and a game table. (This is possible because of the flip top table surface.) This means that the family can also get a new dining room table for Father’s Day! Table finishes vary from a rich cherry wood to a medium oak and some options include 4 chairs. Dad can use the table for a guy’s night poker game or playing checkers with the kids. A win-win solution if your budget can handle the expense — a new table and chairs set like the one pictured here will cost you around $949.99 (includes free shipping), but it makes for a great investment in family time and a solid multi-purpose table! 3. Hammock – The working dad in your life may need a little bit more leisure in his life, so why not get dad a hammock for Father’s Day? Hammocks are great for the nice outdoor weather. Long gone are the days of trying to position a hammock between two trees for support, now you can buy a jumbo center-beam stand to support (and a hanging kit to attach) your hammock. What a great way to sneak in some R&R time with the family! (Typically, hammocks can hold two adults or a few kids. Be careful with the kids though, hammocks are not swing sets and will tip over if pushed or rocked really hard.) A hammock like the one pictured here (with the stand, fabric, and hanging kit) runs about $204.97 total (includes free shipping). Back to 10 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas List

4. Media Storage – After years of giving dad gifts of DVD’s and CD’s, isn’t it about time you gave him some storage space? This is the most economical gift on our list (prices start as low as $35.99 + free shipping), media storage is a unique gift that will save him time and space in the future. Dads can be extremely busy and if he’s like a lot of folks out there, he may currently stack his DVD’s on the TV and his CD’s on the stereo (or maybe the rest of the family is in this bad habit, but with such busy lives — it can happen to the best of us). Giving the gift of organization will help him clear his mind of clutter and free him up to do other chores or work tasks. This gift will go a long way on movie nights too! If you set up the proper system, then you won’t have to worry about scouring the room for misplaced DVD’s. Maybe if he’s really lucky, maybe you can help him organize his vast media library. Check out Flash Furniture’s $35.99 (free shipping) multimedia tower that holds 356 CD’s, 130 DVD’s, or 76 videos. Back to 10 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas List

5. Garage Storage – Not the most interesting gift on this list, but it sure is practical! If dad is running out of storage space in the house, basement, or external storage unit, it may be time to consider condensing his garage space. Depending on whether dad is a gearhead, outdoorsman, or sports fanatic, he needs space for his toys. There are a variety of different options — whether stand alone, wall hanging, or even mobile units available to help customize the look and proper storage space for his garage. Helping dad organize his garage will mean that there’s more time for you to spend doing family things together. Back to 10 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas List

6. TV Stand – It’s a much better option than buying him a big screen TV! Hopefully your father already bought the big flat screen TV of his dreams, but if not, a little bit of encouragement–in the form of a new TV stand–can’t hurt. With this gift, you have the option of multiple different styles, finishes, and sizes. Wall mounting equipment and fixed mount TV stands are also available for the father who needs to get his TV to an appropriate eye level height. Most TV stands offer media storage for your DVD player, DVR recorder, stereo systems, and game consoles. A new TV stand is truly a thoughtful and unique gift for dad on Father’s Day. 7. Safe – Your father was one of the first people in your life to make sure that you were safe, secure, and happy. Why not take care of him and return the favor with a safe. Why a safe? Safes offer protection for valuables — important documents, jewelry or watches, guns, and anything dad deems valuable enough to lock securely in a fire proof safe. Instead of a safe deposit fee and a trip to the bank, dad will have all the important, yet protected, items at his fingertips for daily use or whenever he needs to access it. Most safes offer strong security measures, such as a key lock or electronic combination lock, and fire and burglary ratings. Show your dad you care about what’s important to him (besides you!), offer him a quality safe to protect his valuables. Back to 10 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas List

8. Gaming Chair – Does dad love (or secretly love) video games? Then get him a video entertainment chair. Video game chairs offer comfort and the ability to rock and roll when the action heats up in the game. (Plus, wouldn’t it be kind of funny to see dad shaking in a rattler or boom chair as he gets into the game?) Buy a few video game chairs and then you have a family video game night waiting to happen! Different chairs have different options such as a reclining backrest, cup holder, and most offer double duty as a sound system for games, movies or MP3s. 9. Recliner – Do we really need to explain this one further? What dad wouldn’t love a recliner for Father’s Day? Giving comfort to your hard working dad is the ultimate gift and luxury. Whether leather, microfiber, sports, or massage, you can’t go wrong by giving him a recliner chair. Back to 10 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas List

10. Office Chair -If your dad is a workaholic, maybe all he needs is the right office chair for Father’s Day. You can opt for a mesh or leather chair and then give him some ergonomic friendly options and he should be set for a more productive and comfortable work day. Priced at a range that shouldn’t dent the wallet too hard, office chairs start at $69.99 (includes free shipping). Take care of dad’s office seating needs and be prepared to reap the reward of a happy and healthy father. Back to 10 Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas List

Remember, if you intend to order the product online, even though the item may ship the same day, it will still take a few days to deliver it to your house. In the meantime, you may get dad a nice card (or have the kids create one) and make a nice meal (or take him out to dinner) to show him some love this Father’s Day Sunday. Let him know his special present may arrive a few days late, but it will definitely be worth the wait for him!

After the movie “Invictus” came out in 2009 and won several awards (and award nominations), it seems that everyone was really excited to see the 2010 FIFA World Cup being played in South Africa. Plus, there seems to be a renewed interest in soccer!
With all this buzz, it’s hard to find a spot at your local restaurant or bar to watch the games. Even if you manage to find a spot, your service will probably be slow and the room will be blazing hot with the crowds of people gathering around watching the game. So, the easiest solution is to watch the game with friends from someone’s house and then bring over your own food and beverages. This allows you to have the luxury of A/C, space to sit down, and great company (who you can actually hear when you have soccer conversations!). If you are the host house, all you have to provide is seating and a TV (with ESPN or Univision) and you are ready to root for your favorite teams.
Hopefully you didn’t have to hustle to find proper seating or slip covers to improve your current seating furniture for your guests, but if you did have to scamper around to make chair arrangements then don’t worry – you can start looking at new furniture today so that you are prepared for your next sporting event party.
World Cup party seating:
Recliners
What better way to watch any sporting event, than from the comfort of a recliner?
Sofa & Loveseats
If it’s time to upgrade your full living room suite, then opt for a sofa and loveseat combo or even a large sectional to accommodate all your lounging and TV watching needs.
Folding Chairs
Opt for folding chairs if you are looking for inexpensive, convenient chairs. Simply fold up and store until your next big event.
Upcoming USA matches:

Versatility is not a term you might associate with an institution such as a church, but for a small to medium sized church, that may be exactly what you need in terms of church seating. There are a variety of seating for church options in the marketplace today: church chairs, pews, and theater style chairs. Depending on the size of your sanctuary space, number of people in the congregation, budget, and style of ministry, you can determine which style of worship seating will work for your church.
Church Chairs: A Versatile and Budget-Friendly Option
Stackable church chairs may not be the first type of worship seating that you think of when you consider your sanctuary seating needs, but these chairs provide church leaders with a versatile and inexpensive seating option. Church chairs offer many benefits for small and large congregations alike. You may not be fully aware, but these chairs offer traditional church seating needs, such as different chair widths, under chair book baskets, pamphlet or book pocket on the back of chairs, and/or ganging brackets for attaching the chairs together in rows. (The description of the church chair should tell you which options are included in the price of the chair.) Continue reading ‘Church Chairs: A Versatile Alternative To Church Pews’
